Alice In Wonderland

A tyrannosaur type dinosaur, Nanuqsaurus, sporting a coat of speculative feathers as it stands in a forest that would be more at home in a more ancient time with dawn redwoods, cycads, ferns and ginkgo trees. A large blue caterpillar rears up on a mushroom, showing that the dinosaur is actually small, almost a dwarf. © Raven Amos

Denali Pterosaur

A large azhdarchid pterosaur, known in Alaska only from footprints, walking along the ground in ancient Denali Park, Alaska. The sun is hazy and obscured by clouds as trees and mountains loom in the blue distance. © Raven Amos

A Cold Day Out

A mother Albertosaurus and her 3 chicks go for a stroll on a cold day in early winter through the towering dawn redwood forests of Cretaceous Alaska. Steam issues from their muzzles and noses as one of the chicks is straggling behind and trying to catch up.

Troodon in the Rushes

A troodon pauses for a drink at a rush-lined creek in the Colville River Basin, North Slope, Alaska ~70 million years ago. The scene shows a setting sun framed by a large gingko tree growing by the banks of the stream, ferns, and horsetails. The troodon looks right at the viewer face-on. © Raven Amos
